What sets us apart?
Our approach is built on 3 core principles
Stay Curious
Curiosity help us get clear about our thoughts, create context for our life, and allows us to learn new skills
Honor Emotion
Feelings are not facts… but they play an important role in our lives. Emotion helps us understand our needs, desires, and boundaries.
Act with Intetnion
Head plus heart gives us insight but insight without action doesn’t create real change. We believe that good therapy inspires new behavior

At GTA, we help you become more than what the world has defined you to be. We give you the space to rewrite your story and expand into your fuller self. Our compassionate and creative therapists help you break out of these cycles, by giving you the support and skills necessary to transform these conversations into real change. We believe that therapy is a place to discover yourself, your needs, and learn how to live a life that is balanced, fulfilling, and has a positive impact in the world – all on your own terms.
We also believe the story doesn’t end in the therapy room, which is why we started Therapy is Not a Dirty Word. With happy hours, workshops, and retreats (many of which are hosted at The Yard DC), we bring the conversation off the couch and into the larger world. These events connect you with mental health and relationship professionals in richly curated spaces, with great food and drinks. Think of it as the perfect dinner party that nourishes mind, body, and spirit.
