Sponsorship is vital to making Sidewalk Talk an ongoing service to the community and to expand this offering across the DC metro area because what we offer is free to the community and staffed by volunteers. Sponsors help us promote our message, purchase supplies, and train our volunteers.

We’re interested in partnering with organizations and companies that share our values and want to promote our message of listening and community connection.   We consider sponsorship a very special relationship with mutual benefit.  Not only do we work together to make communities across the DC/MD/VA region better but we will promote your role and your donation is 100% Tax Deductible as Sidewalk Talk is a nonprofit entity fiscally sponsored by SocialGood Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization.

 

What does my sponsorship pay for?

Sidewalk Talk’s simplicity and bang for the buck is its beauty.  We have three costs and the rest is 100% volunteer.  High impact for low cost.

1. Supplies: Shirts, Chairs, Mental Health Resource Postcards, Signs, Graphics.
2. Training: In person and online delivery of listening skills straining at companies, on school campuses and online.
3. Administrative Support: All listeners and producers of Sidewalk Talk are volunteers.  We have one paid administrative employee mails shirts, keeps our listener database and liability releases in order, manages sponsor relationships and helps keep listening sites in cities staffed.

What form can my sponsorship donation take?

Sponsors can get involved through a financial donation as listed above and through in-kind donation of goods and/or services.  In-kind donations should be focused on our most needed items such as t-shirts for volunteers, printed marketing materials, chairs for listening location set ups, and PR or marketing services.
