5 words to describe you…
Empathetic, Kind, Intuitive, Passionate, Optimistic What do you love most about working at GTA… GTA could be described as my dream workplace. I love helping others become the best versions of themselves and my job as a therapist. As the marketing assistant, I am able to create and express myself through the things I’m most passionate about such as writing and wellness. I really embrace the diversity amongst the staff as well, from background to personality. Our practice consists of a few of the brightest, funniest, and down to earth therapists around.
What should clients know about working with you…
Therapy isn’t always a nice and neat conversation or listening session. The time spent together in session, requires a level of vulnerability, trust, and motivation to do the work that will continuously allow you to pursue your intentions and potential both on and off the couch. Once we develop a therapeutic relationship, I hope to be creative in our sessions using techniques and skills that best serve you and help you reach your goals. With each client and session, I vow to bring authenticity, sensitivity, and hope that is necessary for a safe space to heal and progress.

The official story…
I’ve always been interested in human behavior and emotions since before I can remember. I knew as a teenager that eventually, I wanted to become a licensed therapist. In 2015, I graduated from Rutgers University with my Bachelors in Psychology and Criminal Justice. I worked in a private practice for six months before I decided to go to graduate school. I moved to Washington, DC where I pursued and earned a Masters degree from Howard University in social work with a concentration in mental health. I entered the realm social work because I understand that people are made up of the various interactions we have experienced. I genuinely enjoy working with individuals to relieve their symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders. I also am helpful to those who are looking to increase their self-esteem and those who are having a difficult time adjusting to life transitions. I have aspects of several orientations depending on the client, including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and positive psychology.
